How we check voting information
Official sources, human review, and corrections when information changes.
We start with official sources
We check key rules and deadlines against official election information, including which areas and voting methods they apply to. The project owner approves the content before it goes live.
Plans use reviewed content and fixed templates. AI does not generate your voting instructions while you use the site. Labeled demonstrations are examples, not voting guidance.
We review information regularly
Our policy requires review before publication and weekly during the election cycle for both voting methods. Credible changes require immediate review.
A source’s verification date tells you when it was checked. Renewing a plan’s approval does not change that date. Rules can change between reviews; ask your election office about time-sensitive questions.
We correct or remove affected guidance
We don’t publish instructions when key evidence is missing or conflicting. We label other gaps. If a review is overdue or guidance is withdrawn, we direct you to official resources.
Changes to voting instructions need another review. Downloaded and printed copies won’t update, so check the website for the latest plan.
